This week, one of my clients asked me how to “scroll through windows in 3-D”.  What he was talking about was something called 3-D Window Switching in Windows Vista and Windows 7, a feature enabled with the Windows Aero (glass effect) interface.  Translation: if you have a powerful enough computer, and are running Windows Vista or Windows 7, this feature will be enabled.  To take advantage of the 3-D window switch (or scroll), hold down the Windows key on your keyboard (usually the key to the left of your “Alt” key on the bottom left-hand side of your keyboard) and then press “Tab” repeatedly.  This will scroll through your open windows on your desktop in 3-D mode.

Note: you can also scroll through open programs in normal mode by holding down the “Alt” key and hitting “Tab” repeatedly.

Happy switching / scrolling!
